The main uses of WESPECH’s products

Aromatic hydrocarbons

Benzene is processed into ethylbenzene, cumene, cyclohexane, nitrobenzene / aniline, detergent alkylate, chlorobenzenes, maleic anhydride; toluene – dealkylation / disproportionation, TDI, phenol, caprolactam, nitrotoluenes, phthalates; xylenes - in extraction and chemical processing, solvents, as gasoline component.

Carbon black

Carbon black is a generic term for an important family of products used widely to modify the mechanical, electrical, and other physical properties of the medium in which it is dispersed.

The rubber grades are primarily used as a reinforcing agent in tire and other rubber products to improve their mechanical properties; most of the special grades are manufactured to meet specific product specifications for imparting certain properties required by the end use products, such as dispersion, pigmentation and electrical conductivity.

Fertilizers

Fertilizers - are products that improve the levels of available plant nutrients and / or the chemical and physical properties of soil, thereby directly or indirectly enhancing plant growth, yield, and quality.

The function of fertilizer applications is to raise the level of soil fertility and biological activity in the soils and farming areas where they are used by increasing the amounts of available plant nutrients, in particular, nitrogen and phosphorus.

Fuels

Fuels - essential petroleum derivatives (gasolines, diesel fuels, fuel oils, jet engine fuels, heating oils). The creation of liquids to be used as fuels from sources other than natural crude petroleum broadly defines synthetic liquid fuels. Synthetic liquid fuels have characteristics approaching those of the liquid fuels in commerce, specifically gasoline, jet fuel, fuel oil, diesel fuel, heating oil.

Hydrocarbon Resins

Uses and applications for hydrocarbon resins include adhesives, sealants, inks, paints, varnishes, plastics, and oil field applications; they are rarely used alone.

LPG

Liquefied petroleum gas (liquid petroleum gas, LPG) also referred to as propane or butane, are flammable mixtures of hydrocarbon gases used as fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment, and vehicles.

Phenol & Acetone

Phenols - are used for the production of bisphenol A (bisphenol A is especially used for the production of high-grade polycarbonates & epoxy resins); for the production of phenolic resins with formaldehyde; for the production of caprolactam via cyclohexanol / cyclohexanone; aniline, alkylphenols, diphenols, salicylic acid.

Acetone - the main uses of acetone are as a chemical intermediate and as a solvent; cyanohydrin / methacrylates; bisphenol A; aldol chemicals; methyl isobutyl carbinol; methyl isobutyl ketone.

Plasticizers

A plasticizer is a substance incorporated into a material to increase its flexibility, workability, or distensibility; these effects are used to make products that are familiar to daily life and a change of plasticizer can produce changes in the properties of finished goods.

Polymers

Synthetic polymers (polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene, polyethylenterephtalate) are raw materials for plastics; they become plastics after physical compounding and / or chemical hardening.

Polypropylene is one of the most widely used thermoplastics; many automobiles, textile appliances, and other everyday items contain substantial amounts of these polymers. The ability to manufacture a broad variety of polypropylenes having properties tailored for specific applications is the primary factor in its widespread use.

Polystyrene is used for producing disposable plastic cutlery and dinnerware, CD cases, smoke detector housings, license plate frames, plastic model assembly kits, and many other objects where a rigid, economical plastic is desired.

Polyethylene is the most widely used plastic throughout the world, and high density polyethylene (HDPE) is the most widely used type of polyethylene. Today, hundreds of different grades of HDPE are manufactured by dozens of different commercial processes worldwide to meet the demands of applications too numerous to describe completely. Common uses for HDPE include food packaging, bottles, bags, medical applications, drums, fuel tanks and other automotive parts, pipe, film, geomembranes, toys, film, and filament.

Polyethylenterephtalate is processed into fibers; for production of highgrade, heat-resistant films; to produce gastight bottles for beverages; highly stressed technical molded parts are produced from polyethylenterephtalate by injection molding.

Rubbers

Rubbers & elastomers - rubber (raw rubber) is a vulcanizable polymer with rubber-elastic properties at room temperature; raw rubber is a starting material for the production of elastomers - polymeric materials with rubber-elastic properties.

Application areas for different types of rubber are tires, soles for shoes, damping and insulating elements, etc.

Solvents

Solvents are compounds that are generally liquid at room temperature and atmospheric pressure; they are able to dissolve other substances without chemically changing them.

User of industrial solvents has many available choices of commercial products but also a large number of parameters which must be considered to make proper selection.

Sulphur

The element sulfur is one of the most important raw materials of the chemical industry.

Sulfur is used in the production of sulfuric acid, sulfur dioxide, carbon disulfide, rubber, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, agricultural applications, plastics and other synthetic products, paper products, paints, nonferrous metal production, petroleum refining, iron and steel production, soil and water treatment, animal nutrition, highway construction as an additive or rejuvenator for asphalt, sulfur concrete, sulfur polymer cement, coatings, mortar substitute, foams, and sulfur impregnation.
